Interview process

Step 0

Expectations

CHAI look for people with a track record of building. If you shipped a product with 100k+ downloads, created an open source project with 10k+ stars/downloads, or made $100k+, you get fast-tracked.

Step 1

Initial chat

Instead of a recruiter, one of the engineers on the team will have a chat with you. We prefer to grab a coffee in Palo Alto.

Step 2

Personality assessment

We'll send you a personality assessment to understand you better. This is the one we use.

Step 3

Take home challenge

We'll send you a short take home challenge that typically takes 60-90 minutes to complete.

Step 4

Onsite interview

You'll be invited onsite to meet the team and complete the second half of the take home.

Step 5

Offer

We pay top of market. Salary range for technical roles are $200 - $600k+ and equity.
We'll give you an offer you'll be happy with.
